Antoni Arola Interior and Industrial Designer born in Tarragona in 1960. Graduated at the Eina School of Design, Barcelona. Initiated professional career in l984 at the Liévore & Pensi Studio in Barcelona. Enrolled in the Associate Designers company in 1990 and opened a studio of his own in Barcelona in 1994. Considered a versatile designer owing to his exceptional artistic facets and tendency to find inspiration in primitive cultures.
Well-known for his lighting designs for clients such as Santa & Cole, Metalarte and BD as well as his sofa collections for Temas V, perfume bottles for Armand Basi, Angel Schlesser and Loewe and also bathroom furnishings for ArtQuitect. Other outstanding interior design projects include the Oven and Mos restaurants and the Cacao Sampaka shop, the latter awarded with the FAD prize. Among several other distinctions, winner of two silver Delta Industrial Design Prizes and National Design Prize 2003.
