The Couture Armchair is a fusion of artisanal and industrial techniques.

The stitches represent a topographic map resulting in an organic pattern, simulating the growth in wood. The use of gradient colours for the wood, amplifies the effect of layers used and increases the sensation of unifying hard materials. The result is an armchair with strong personality which holds maximum evidence of artisanal processes.
Fredrik Färg and Emma Marga Blanche are a young couple of designers (with Swedish and French origins respectively) who add personality, technique and innovation. They have been developing a technique for various years in their studio based in Stockholm, bapitising and registering it as Wood TailoringTM, which includes the use of sewing machines directly over hard materials like wood. These pieces require advanced craftsmanship.
