Explorer Collection
The highly regarded and internationally renowned Jaime Hayon is one of Spain’s most awarded and successful designers. His personality has always been fused into his work, splaying across colour and curves and translating into profiles that meld childhood energy with a playful elegance.
The Explorer collection derives from Hayon’s childhood memory and involves a series of rounded and colourful interpretations of cabinets, tables and vases. Inspired by the 1958 Explorer space rocket (the first Satellite launched by the US), the collection has an unpretentious and imaginative approach to furniture design. Hayon’s series asserts functionality and aesthetics with fresh, rounded shapes, sturdy surfaces, and prominent forms.
Rich colours emanate from the soft, compact curves of the Explorer Side Tables and Vases, fashionable monochrome sheens spread across the Cabinet, and the Dining Tables interact gently in space with their aerodynamic and near-floating forms.
