PILLOW SOFA X KASSL EDITIONS
BD Barcelona and KASSL Editions are pleased to announce the relaunch of the Pillow Sofa in KASSL’s signature lacquer cotton fabric.
Originally conceived in 2021 as a transformation of the iconic Pillow Bag by KASSL Editions, the design by Muller Van Severen brings that same spirit of freedom and adaptability to the world of furniture. The new Pillow Sofa remains true to its contemporary design and ingenious construction while evolving through structural improvements, refined details, and new materials.
BD Barcelona has reimagined the piece with a simplified modular system and optimized assembly, enhancing its bold silhouette and playful character. Made in Barcelona, it is now available in six fabrics — leather, velvet, canvas, cotton, lacquer cotton, and corduroy — with a vibrant palette of colours. The latest addition is the black lacquer cotton, launched this August 2025.

KASSL Editions is a fashion brand known for its signature technical fabrics—most notably lacquered cotton, originally developed from production offcuts. With its distinctive tactile surface, this material became iconic through the brand’s Pillow Bag. Recognizable and rooted in sustainable practice, lacquered cotton embodies KASSL’s commitment to timeless, and unique design.
