Silhouettes by Muller Van Severen
SILHOUETTES is a collection of candleholders in 100 percent raw aluminium, designed by Muller Van Severen and developed in collaboration with Apartamento. An abstract reinterpretation of recurring motifs in the designers’ oeuvre, the collection distils forms such as chairs, cabinets, lamps, and vases into their essential contours.
Four models: Triangular, Rectangular, L, and Radius, each able to stand alone or in dialogue with others. Each form defined by precise geometry, yet marked by a deliberate sense of instability.
Produced in raw aluminium, the candleholders present the material in its most direct state. The untreated surface preserves visible traces of the production process, connecting form, fabrication, and use. Rooted in BD’s longstanding relationship with Muller Van Severen, the collection brings together Apartamento’s creative vision and BD’s nonconformist spirit, moving seamlessly from architectural systems to everyday objects.
